Default 200 cell cats on 2017 SVR

My apologies if this has been discussed previously, but my attempts at forum searches were not fruitful.

Thinking about purchasing a downpipe with higher flow cats for my svr, and was wondering if anyone could kindly direct me to a video of this setup. I am mainly interested in more of the same noise; love the sound of this car and just want everything turned up to 11.

Thanks in advance!

Yes. I did it to the same car. Much louder and much raspier when flaps are open.
I then had VAP make me the same 200cell downpipes with a bullet muffler on each pipe. The result was good. The bullets toned down the rasp. Fitment was 98% and livable.

Interesting. Any chance you have a video of it somewhere?

No. And without pro equipment it would be useless.

If you want to unlock the true potential of this motor you need a tune and 200 cell down pipes at minimum or just go with VelocityAP power package that bumps you up to 650hp. I did my power upgrades in steps... if I had to do it all over again I’d go all out right away

I do plan on a simultaneous tune through vap, just trying to get a sense of what the 200 cell cats do to the sound. Not looking to absolutely mangle this car, but at the same time I have a higher tolerance for obnoxious than most.

The biggest problem at this point is just the limited examples of similar setups on the interwebz

luckily enough for you I ordered 200 cell VelocityAP down pipes Today! Installing them next week. Will post an install video and many more after that on cold start and driving. Interior exterior sound etc. It’ll be in 4K with quality audio!

I have spoken with Stuart about using the 300 cell cats they use on the Mclaren . They do not trigger a check engine light & might be a little quieter. I hope to have them at some point this summer.

All about that outside-the-box thinking. Definitely keep us posted if you pull the trigger, would love a sound clip!

Certainly true, but a high quality audio clip of a 200 cell R should still at least help me get an idea of the acoustics!

Tried shooting you a pm, but says your inbox is full; are you guys potentially able to replicate mlebofsky's setup?
