It's just Jalopnik, and I know most have beat this to death, but enjoy:

The 2000 Jaguar F-Type Concept Revived An Icon For A New Millennium It wasn't the first time Jaguar tried to deliver an E-Type successor, and it wouldn't be the last.

I can easily say I like the final product much more than F-type prototype.

I always enjoy reading these and would love to see the unreleased designs someday.

I happened to have read this article a couple of days ago and had seen photos and stories about this prototype before. I love the F-type but also love the look of my 2002 XKR (though not its driving characteristics), as well as I will never own another car as well rounded and reliable as my 183,000 mile XKR. Anyway, that prototype is gorgeous and certainly closer to the X100's proportions than any other Jaguar. It would have made a worthy successor the the E-type's heritage just as the F-type has. It's certainly more retro looking but it's also now more than 2 decades old. But still beautiful.

Looks more like a TVR than a Jaguar to me. Pretty yes, but not as pretty as the production F-type IMO.

Prototype looks like an old pontiac convertible, whatever that ugly thing is they sold in the early 2000s
