2013 F type S V8, soft top issue

My Ftype convertable roof is in slave mode. No error codes appear on dash cluster. Soft Top opens only about 5cm, then stops, then when I press the button again, it opens another 5cm and stops, this repeated process is required to get the roof all the way down, then at the end, the x2 side flaps that normally complete the cycle by folding in flat, that part doesnt happen at all, they both remain, in the upright position. What I do notice while repeatadly pressing the button is that both motors are not pulling down at exactly same speed, one motor pulls more than the other causing resistance then this resistance probably causes sensors to signal stop. Now to close the roof, both motors work perfectly in unison and the roof goes all the way up and stops just before latching, then press again and it completes cycle and latches fully. If motors were an issue, it would not work closing in almost one motion? Jaguar constantia branch picked up no fault codes on any motors or sensors. A friend of mine who used to work at jag for x20 years, plugged in his diagnostics and it registered communication faults. U2011-98 motor intermitent. We disconnected battery and that process also never helped. Can anyone advise if they had similar issue and how was it resolved? Calibration at Jag dealership didnt work, going to try another private specialist who claims that Jaguar dealership in question dont know how to calibrate as its a rare fault and they have no experience ? Please advise further?

There have been reports of the top linkages and mechanisms binding. Open half-way, and apply a drop of a light oil?
Also, there are adjustable pieces in the top linkages, assure that they are not loose or binding when the top is retracting.
Hopefully your top's drain holes (one each side) are not clogged with debris. Visible with the top about 2/3 down.
Water can damage the motors.
