Default 2014 F-type p0169 Incorrect Fuel Composition Code

Anybody else ever run into a p0169 Incorrect Fuel Composition error code? I was driving into work this morning and I got a "Special Modes Unavailable" and the car felt like it wasn't getting power to the back tires. It was running a little rough when I pulled over but after I shutdown and started back up she smoothed right out. I did have it happen 1 more time driving into work and when I ran the code, I got a p0169 Incorrect Fuel Composition. Anybody else experience this issue? 2014 base V6 with VAP Tune and Crank shaft fully upgrade.
Thanks!

I'd start with VAP. The OBD Guide mentions the code, and lists ECU Fault as one explanation. Not much info - search for the code.

I did and didn't come up with much. I'm planning on reaching out to VAP later today .
Thanks

Clogged fuel filter perhaps?

Thanks!
The most likely cause of a P0169 code is contamination with the wrong fuel (diesel or too much ethanol). Do I assume correctly that you have been running the VAP pulley/tune trouble free for awhile? Did the code appear shortly after a fill-up.? If so, have the tank drained and fill it with a top tier gasoline:

Union 76, Aloha Petroleum, Amoco, ARCO, Beacon, BP, Break Time, Cenex, Chevron, CITGO, Conoco, Co-op, Costco, CountryMark, Diamond Shamrock, Entec, Esso, Express, Exxon, Holiday, Kwik Star Stores, Kwik Trip, Mahalo, MFA, Mobil, Ohana Fuels, Petro-Canada, Phillips 66, PUMA, QT, Quik Trip, Road Ranger, Shamrock, Shell / Shell V-Power, Sinclair Standard, SuperAmerica, SuperFuels, Tempo, Texaco, Tri-Par, and Valero

I filled up (at a CITGO) a couple days before the problem started so I'm in agreement on a bad batch of fuel. What makes this odd is it only does this when I have dynamic mode on and I'm highway driving. She seems to run fine in the "default" drive mode.

With some circular reasoning...I suppose its possible that a P0169 indicates a fault in the sensor that causes a P0169... what sensors does the car have - fuel composition sensor or water in fuel sensor?

Alternatively, for testing purposes, it probably wouldn't hurt to top off with some fuel from somewhere else and see if the error goes away.

These days the P0169 code relies on a fuel composition sensor in close proximity to a temp sensor in the fuel line.

So this took an interesting turn... the dealer said it's a software update to resolve the issue. They backed out the VAP tune (with my tuner box) and then updated the ECU. Supposedly it's fixed, but I won't know until I get to drive it bit. Thanks everyone for their input. Hopefully this is it and the car is happy again.

You will probably have to send the updated OEM tune back to VAP so that they can provide you a tune file with the update.

Already talked to Chris late today and he said to try his previous tune first. If it doesn't allow me to install, then send him the new map and he'll get me a new tune. They are great to work with!
