2014 F-Type S 3.0L fitted with Eurotoys power package
We just fitted our Stage 2 power package to this 2014 F-Type S 380bhp 3.0L. The owner did not want to dyno test the car (most do not), so the point of this thread is to show you what in involved in installing the lower pulley kit.

-Package includes; Tuning, larger crankshaft pulley kit, K&N air filters (this customer did not want, so they were subtracted). Car on 93 octane.
What is your labor estimate on pulley installation? That is, what would it take for a skilled, equipped mechanic do do the work? Any special tools, or are the typical hand tools sufficient?
No special tools required. They'll charge you 2-3 hours (including coffee breaks) to do the work. It won't take that long. Requires R&R of the crank pulley, tensioner pulley, belt, and belly pans.

Who is this "they" of which you speak? I do my own mods unless there are special tools required. So far, that's been never, but this car is a bit more special than anything I've previously owned.
I charge 3 hours to install. The hardest part is removing the undertray and the 6 bolts that retain the pulley. the loc-tite they use on the pulley bolts is pretty strong.
Do you still have to regularly oil these? Plus, do you think that F-type OEM filters restrictive in any way?
It usually takes a long time for these filters to get dirty, but they are cleanable. Sometimes people over-oil them after that cleaning (that causes dirty MAF sensor problems), but they are always oiled correctly when new.
I have always used K&N filters in my vehicles with no issues. Does it make a big difference? Not even close, but every little bit helps IMO.

What is the difference between a smaller supercharger pulley and a larger crankshaft pulley?
They both do the same thing (spin the s/c faster = more boost), but our upper pulley is only 2.5% smaller than the 3.0L's factory pulley. So, instead of replacing that upper pulley, we recommend just installing the larger lower pulley (11.8% larger). The lower pulley happens to be easier to install.

Hi Mike, you wouldnt recommend changing the intercooler with a larger one?
with all do respect to the Jag owner but doing such an upgrade and not have a pre/post dyno runs! the wondering would bug me for the rest of my life..
A different intercooler radiator will help maintain the power you have when hot out. IMO, they do not add and power (unless you run a large tank with ice). I am looking into offering these, just waiting for some more information.

Mike, Paramount offers an IC radiator that is a simple swap with 33% more surface area at £1060 delivered to the States. If you could get one out at some lesser number, I would be quite interested.
I would like to hope that with the Intercooler being common to both V6 and v8 that it could cope with the increase in workload following fitting the larger lower pulley on the V6.
It may be a national difference, but in the UK every customer would expect a before and after dyno plot.
