2014 F-Type S V8 - headlight starting to fog inside
Hello all,
My apologies if the subject has already been addressed - would you kindly point me to the right thread?
Vehicle is parked in a garage most days. Right headlight is starting to fog up at the lower end. Headlight has Xpel film applied to it.
What would you recommend to (i) stop / prevent the issue and (ii) get the headlight back to its original state (can this be recoated?)
Thank you!

Hi Emmanuel,
Sadly and obviously, moisture is getting into the headlight assembly. I would check to see if the rubber boot which covers the bulb and wiring harness is sealed. If there are no obvious issues, you may want to remove the entire assembly as its not difficult to do. spray a water, soap mixture around the plastic seam and force some air though the port for the headlamp, (compressed or even reversed vacuum should work.) If you find the spot where its leaking, you should be able to patch it up w an adhesive or sealant.
Beyond that, you could replace the headlight assembly and reapply the Xcel. Or keep your current assembly and apply a tinted Xcel product so the condensation isn't visible from outside.
2 cents.

Do you have actual moisture in the housing when you say fogging? Or do you mean the lens is oxidizing from on the inside portion of the lens housing. If its oxidizing from the inside, there isn't much you can do as the lens is already damaged from the sun. You can replace the entire headlight assembly or refinish the lens by removing it by sticking it in an oven at low temperature. If its just moisture then do as what the previous member suggested.
