Default 2015 Exhaust Notes

Take a deep breath, count to 10 before you reply. My question is, would you prefer that the active exhaust notes (tone) was just a bit deeper or throaty?

I am not suggesting that I dislike the tone. I love virtually everything this car has to offer. Additionally, I recognize that a 6 cylinder will not have the exhaust tone of an 8 cylinder.

Am I a lone voice on this one?

not really, Iam pretty happy, I accpet that mine is a V6 and not a V8 and so it wont be quite as deep and throaty but f it had mattered that much tto me i would have forked out for an 8.

I bought the V8 S, so there are other solutions to changing the tone of the V6

Even the V8 is a fairly high pitched exhaust note for a V8. That is how they got this through all the noise emmission regulations in all the different countries. the comparison of the F- Type R comparo with the AMG GT and 911 GTS shows that very succinctly with the F-Type being the quietest in all three noise tests. Subjectively somebody would say the the Jag is louder but the higher pitched volume is not registered as loud as lower, booming sound on a decibel meter.
I have high flow cats on my XKR-S and it is noticeably deeper than the F-Type.

Happy with the V6 as is. It's a more exotic and refreshing change from the deep, throaty V8s I've been driving for years.

I greatly prefer the "European" sound of the V6, and is a big part of why I chose the V6 over the V8.

Just personal preference, and this comment should not be taken to mean that I dislike the V8 sound. Both are awesome!
