For those of you who have received "common order nos." from your dealer for a 2016 F-type order, what model was it for (engine, body type, transmission- at/awd/mt)? I am being told that Jag is accepting orders into the system only on AWD convertibles (V8, of course) until January.

 

I actually ordered a 2015 F Type v6 S coupe Right before Thanksgiving. The dealership called Monday and told me my order have been placed but it will be for a 2016 model. I told the salesman that will be fine as long as every thing we agreed too remain the same. He agreed. BTW I have receive the conformation on the 2016 from the dealership and should receive my car first of March.

 

I have the following on order
2016 F Type R AWD coupe

Order was created - 12/15/14
Current planned build date - 3/13/15
Current planned delivery - 5/1/15

The dealer provided me with specific documentation regarding my order, which included my "Common Order Number".

2016 R Coupe to be factory completed March 16th, delivery April 24th.

 

My order is 2016 AWD F-Type R Coupe. Don't have any dates yet. I have to bug my salesman again. Cecil...........

 

Just found out that the build date is: 3/1/15. Last day for change is: 2/17/15.

Congratulations. I can only imagine that having some firm dates to ponder will make the wait a bit easier. I'll just have to wait until they are willing to start scheduling the 6 speeds.

I guess there will be very few "15 models of F TYPE.

 

I will be in the same boat. I want a 6-speed and no AWD. I'll wait to order until I am firm on the configuration of my car.

 

Even if you put in an order now for the 6 sp., it's going to be at least 2 months (and then some) before you need to lock in the specifics.

 

Yes, but, no worries. I have two cars to sell between now and then and one will take a while.

2016 option prices are available now. The car prices probably not until January, but no later than ~February 15 when they are locking down the production specs for the vehicles scheduled for first week of production (March 1).

 

Where can I find the option prices?

 

The dealer will have those now.

 

Rumor has it, it will be announced at Detroit.

 

The time frame seems to fit (Jan 12-25)
