Default 2016 F Type R cut in half

I just returned from Jag training at NOLA, and had some cool photos to share for those that like looking at suspension, brakes, gears and more...

Enjoy!

The rear quarter adds to the strength of the whole car in true monocoque fashion. Its the difference between a unibody I believe (feel free to correct me as I'm far from all knowing).

2016 R AWD @ Laguna this year, used my camera instead of my phone this time.

All the yellow bits are part of the AWD system...good to see Jaguar is cutting up so many cars, lol!

This trainer really knew his stuff. Ex pro racecar driver like all of them, but very into the 'why' Jag did this or that and fantastic in explaining it in a way we could understand. The yellow transfer case reacts in 300 milliseconds. At the track on fake ice, we couldn't see it happen. Even filming in high speed camera mode, it was difficult to see. Much faster than an eye blink.
He also confirmed rumors l had heard for years. The big one was that the 550 hp V8 was mechanically a computer programmed detuned 650 hp engine.

Its a $14k package but I've been doing my customers a huge disservice without knowing it. When asked about the ceramic carbon brakes and forged lightweight wheels, I didnt realize that under normal useage, they are not replaced for years. Only a pad change after around two years or so. The service techs there (and he talked to them all) had never replaced rotors that were ceramic carbon due to wear. Over 5 years it may pay for itself. When cold they out stop an R's iron rotors that are warmed up

I wish this diff was in my X308 SVDP! I'm sure it cost as much as my car is worth. Most likely more.

Curious - is the separate caliper for the parking brake? And is this for all brake options, or just on the CC ones?

That separate caliper does not exist on the Super Performance Brake package.

The Jaguar 5.0L V8 is a DE-Tuned 650hp CAR...wow...So the VIEZU tune that claims 650hp simply give you 100% of the engine.
