2016 F-type V8 RWD delivery from Aus
Hi guys
It's been a long wait, almost 8 months since ordering, but my F-type was finally delivered today
Spec is as follows;
V8 R RWD in Storm Grey with Ivory Duo, and every single option incl. ceramics, sport + black kit, alcantara roof lining, glass roof, heated/memory seats, 700w meridian, adapative headlights/auto high beam, parking sensor front/rear/camera, flat bottom heated steering wheel, illuminated sills, power tailgate, reverse traffic detection/blind spot, some fancy air recirc filter, etc
Drove it back to office than straight to my detailer to correct and apply kamikaze coating
First impressions - very happy with how solid it feels, dampening is spot on. i have a set of mpss which ill swap next week which will make the ride even more comfortable/smoother.
I also bought from spare parts the carbon centre console, carbon mirrors, and will replace the red wheel caps and badges with black ones from the base - the red just doesn't work imo
The nav interface is a little old school compared to what i'm used to in my 2016 audi rs3. everything works, it's just the integration and useability of the menu structure that is the problem and not very intuitive. it feels a lot quicker than the old system which is a plus, and even the reverse cam seems higher quality now. my only main gripe is accessing the park assist when driving forward - seems the car icon won't appear on the screen until the front sensors actually register an obstacle, so i found myself having to slowly creep forward to activate the sensors
First thing i did was test the audio, i went straight to DTS option and backed bass off about 1/4 way, and turned sub up about same, and it got rid of speaker distortion. It actually sounds quite good, not amazing like the B&O in my Audi, but alot better than the forum posts suggest. I'm happy with it
Once i get the car back i'll take some better pics

Thanks guys, I'm really happy with the colour
I like to order my cars fully loaded, so my decision was based more on looks/spec, zero brake dust is a bonus too. I have no intentions to track this car, it's going to be one of my daily drivers
I have quite a few cars with ceramics from earliest versions to latest, and best compliment I can give is that you don't even notice any difference to steel. The latest gen of ceramics are so good these days they work perfectly fine on street, and jag seem to have got them setup really well - same with the vario elec steering, was a bit concerned about losing feel but they've nailed the calibration, it's the best elec rack I've driven by far
Another quick pic from yesterday. Can't wait to do some hill driving on weekend

i've had my car for a couple months now and really enjoying it
have done quite a bit of country/hill runs and really impressed with the dampening and steering feel - rwd was definitely the right choice for me as i like how managing throttle and oversteer adds another element to the drive
as soon as i got it home, i had the skirts clear bra'd - new my16 skirts meant we had to make up a template for it
i also replaced all the red badges for the black off the v6 model
car was detailed and coated with kamikaze enrei
pic of the ivory leather and suede roof lining option
replaced the plastic console trim with the factory carbon fibre, and replaced halogen bulbs in footwell + doors with osram 5700k led bulbs to match map lights
few weeks later i replaced the pzero for the mpss (something i do on all my cars) and good enough reason for another drive
final artsy shot
