Having lived in the Colorado mountains years ago, I developed a taste for the Microbreweries in Breckenridge. What a fabulous town!

I am simply NOT going to tell my cardiologist what my plans are for this week as I am sure he'd probably have his own heart attack...

(I hate it when I screw up a quote!)

Just leave off the Lemon Tart part from Standard Bakery (but, trust me*, you won't want to).

*Sorry...It's not that good.

You only live once... And if you do it right, once is enough! I'll be having butter with my lobster, lemon tart and salt bagels for breakfast, and plenty of fine quality spirits!

(My nitroglycerin tablets are always in my "watch pocket" of my jeans or dress pants... Simply place one or two under my tongue should I become unresponsive and / or clutch my chest!)

Heard back this afternoon from Wayne Carini. He looks forward to seeing us at his place on the 5th Thursday as we head north for the lobster fest for those of us heading to the early event. He wants us to keep in touch as May draws closer. At present he has no conflicts but certainly can't always predict his schedule but he welcomes us and looks forward to the visit.

As the "convoy" plans the route we can figure out the timing.

You boys do realize that your destination is Portland, Maine and not Portland, CT? (Who knew there even is a Portland, CT?). I think I'll wait for you all here...although part of me wishes I could hop on a plane and meet a passengerless F-Typer heading here riding shotgun. Where's the nearest airport???

P.S. While there's plenty of time and I don't need to know right now...but at some point I need to determine who - if anyone - is interested in the "private/special/back-room" beer tasting? Presumably sometime in the afternoon, on Thursday, and before our lobster dinner.

Thank you Mbourne, and a healthy and happy New Years to you too! Only...sorry...not sure what you mean by winter blast??? Perhaps that's because my family and I are on Isla Mujeres, Mexico? And, unless I'm sorely mistaken, haven't seen even one F-Type on this otherwise idyllic 4 1/2 mile long island.

Best regards,
Jay

Somebody has to do it!

Happy New Year my Unhinged friend, you're a great guy (no matter what anyone else here says about you [U]. Oh wait, that's usually reserved for someone else).

No matter! It's all good...nay, great. I'm happy to be F-Typeless for a little while longer and suffer down here with amazing food, fabulous friends, an incredible wife and kids, a dog who's more human-like than most humans I know, and lots of shots of quality Tequila.

Like I said, somebody has to do it.

Best regards,
Jay

Should have guessed you were "roughing it" and not in Maine! Enjoy as more snow is in the forecast for next week.

Default Not Quite An Update But...

Time certainly still not a factor, and I while do not need to know final numbers, before you know it - like 4 months - May will be upon us. Couple that with what I preceive as quite a few new-comers on this Forum who might be interested in joining our growing group - 11 F-Types at last count? - of merry men and women...I'm just saying...

There's also that private exclusive beer-tasting potentially on-tap (pun intended).

All for now...from the Chef's table at Union at The Press Hotel,
Jay

Would love to have you. Good luck and let us know (hotel - the splendid Press Hotel, along with a group discount - is holding a block of 20 rooms for now).

Best regards,
