2017 Jaguar F-Type R facelift to bring new infotainment

When you say slow, which features are you referring to and what do you mean by slow?
I've noticed that on Destination Entry it checks what's been typed after each 'key press', but it isn't actually any slower than this site accessed from an iPad Mini* running anything later than IOS8.
It also doesn't need to be reloaded every few minutes - unlike this site...

It's kinda like if Microsoft all a sudden started selling windows 3.1 in 2016... i don't know, maybe it's just me, but I absolutely hate the slowness of the infotainment system and it's extremely disappointing for a car at this price point.

Okay, mine doesn't do that. The only bit that could be called slow is destination entry - and that's because it's checking what I've typed vs. what it knows.
So, when you enter the UK equivalent of a Zip Code, it checks each key press is valid, and then only allows me to type keys that are in its database of UK Zip Codes.
The rest is pretty much instantaneous.
Base coupe with an August 2014 Build Date.

... And yet, it's only a feature of this site. And appears to be related to the way in which the adverts are presented...

I've used the old blue and white system (pre 2011) then the black and white hard drive setup (2011 to about 2015) and now have 2 cars with the 8 inch 2016 system. I'm finding the 2016 to be the quickest out of them all, and the easiest to use. The black and white was by far the slowest, and I thought the hardest to use because there was too much clutter on the home screen and I'd keep hitting the wrong button. I havent used the new 10 inch one yet, so I dont know how it compares.

Possibility of updating Infotainment System
Hi guys,
this question might be somewhat premature but I'll still pose my question. Would it be possible to update our outdated NAV & Infotainment system with the new upcoming Infotainment system. My guess is no due to different harnesses and different wiring. But I am not an expert with electronics and I'm sure there is a member who have s very knowledgeable to answer this question. Thank you
