I financed so it was a bit different. You should be able to get a better deal on a 17 though |
here's the official offer so far by the dealer. I haven't countered anything yet. This is just to show the msrp and selling price, which i think is good? obviously not the monthly payment. The 33 months is because he's buying out the last 3 months of my current lease.
- $108,458 MSRP - $98,000 Selling price - 33 months - 10k miles a year - $1528.95 due at signing (first payment, registration) - $1269.80 payment including taxes and tags |
Discount is about half of what it should be. It appears he buying your base lease out st the cost of the more expensive rate of your new car purchase.

can you explain the red? |
I'm guessing here, but you're losing 3 months on your new lease in exchange for your existing remaining lease. The two values are not the same. I would run real value numbers on what this is costing. Conventional wisdom is a good leave is about 1% of Msrp. Leasing experts can weigh in.

You WILL be driving this car a lot. As I said before, don't pay more than I did ($0 down, $0 at signing, $999/mo, dealer makes the first payment, 33 months, 12K miles per year) Right now, there is $5000 factory cash offered by Jaguar on V8s. When I bought my car it was only $3000. There is no way a car that is cheaper than mine and with more cash from the factory should cost as much as an F Type SVR (the deal you were offered is almost exactly what my friend was offered on a white F Type SVR in Chicago). |
I just got an R last week. 113 msrp and I got a great deal. 0 out of pocket, 1100 plus tax. 12k miles a year. Right now there are dealer incentives going on as no more 2017s are being made. Keep looking around.
