On the other hand, I received a phone call today from an F-Type owner, a customer of Scarborough Jaguar/Land Rover (supposedly he has the first F-Type sold in Maine and, based on his VIN, the 39th F-Type ever made...worldwide) and he’s been wanting to join us the past two years but the dates never worked out. I sent him the itinerary earlier today and...
...he just texted me, as I write, that he and his wife are in.
That makes 15 F-Types and 28-29 people.
Lunch today @ The Purple House (Local Lamb Riblettes w/Salsa Verde Salad)

If I didn’t know [you] better, I would say there’s more than a touch of sarcasm in your post. But since I do know you - and won’t have to “report” you to the Mods - my reply simply is, “somebody has to do it”. Another tough day and very likely another pound, or two, gained. And I don’t mean British Pound.
By the way, I “officially” revoke all the “THANKS” I received in post #196.
P.S. Graham: you are ALWAYS welcome and I will ALWAYS accommodate you in the future (same offer as in my PM).

And the Germans. I don’t have the precise figures off hand - and there’s at least one if not more threads on this Forum with the breakdown (surely Unhingd and/or DJS have them at their immediate mental disposal) - but certain %’s of the F-Type’s construction are not made in or with English components. I seem to recall a fairly large % is of German origins.
Nevertheless the 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast is open to all and the organizer - me - is an equal opportunity host and not the Westworld kind either.

Jaguar's Worldwide parts distribution centre is in Germany. You won't find this referenced on their corporate website and I only discovered it by accident. My local UK dealer explained they now hold very little inventory because anything ordered before 2:00 pm is delivered from Frankfurt, Germany overnight and available the following morning from 11:00.
Apparently the facility is massive and I expect much of the production line parts which don't come direct from suppliers go through this German storage and distribution facilty. Under EU (European Union) regulations, this would define them as "made in Germany" even though parts can be, and often are sourced from all over the World.
The idea of Jaguar being a British vehicle has taken a further step away from reality with the new I-Pace. This is manufactured by contract manufacturer Magna Steyr in Austria and never sees the UK unless imported by a UK dealer for a customer order.

Until then, they’re only rumors.
