I’m told the “issue” has been resolved.

+2. Having experienced one of Jay's multiple day high velocity soirees a couple years ago, I would like to suggest that as many of you as possible plan to stay at the Hyatt, as it is most proximate to the daily launch site. Jay packs his itineraries so tightly that it's tough enough for him to herd a clowder of cats (or jamboree of jaguars in our case) that are starting from the same location, much less spread across 5 square miles. "Not a sermon, just a thought" (Lon Solomon) Plus, it means an extra 20-30 minutes of sleep each night.

Google says that our B&B is 5 minutes drive away from the hotel. We'll be waiting on all of you to have your car valet'd.

With my MT, that won't be happening. Had my MINI mangled when the valet lost control of the clutch on a garage ramp.

Just made a reservation. FYI, our substantial discount only applies to rooms with a king bed. I requested a room with two beds (my brother may be my copilot again), but our group discount doesn't cover that. However, the king rooms have a queen sleeper couch, so we'll go with that.

Edit: Jay 'The Fixer' got my reservation changed to a 2-bed room, same price. Thanks Jay!

Dave,

Come pick your brother up this time and we'll meet you in Northern Ohio on your way to Maine! Now that would be a haul!

This trip is going to be fun! Wish I could make it.......

I looked back through the posts summarizing the "Lobster Runs". Incredible itineraries!

On the one hand if people drive vast distances to attend one of my events, and they all do, I feel I “owe” it to them to show them a good time. And I think I’ve succeeded in doing that. Two years in a row. On the other hand, these are the places I go and the people I know - many dear friends - on a regular basis, so what if I bring 10-15 Jaguar F-Types and their occupants with me?

I’ve intentionally not posted some of the places we’ll go this year simply because at least a couple of the visits we’ll make are...well...special. Well, all the places we’ve visited in the past are special - including several which are usually not possible to the general public; think along those lines if you will for this years 2018 Jaguar Wild Blueberry Blast.

Lastly, my inaugural event - The 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run - was attended by a Forum member and his wife who drove 100 miles west of Denver, Co. all the way to Portland, Maine. And I for one, although I’m sure we all feel the same, was glad he came. Not only did he and his wife have a memorable time - including during a poetry reading I gave, reading one of his poems he had written (about his first car) - but he died later that year of cancer.

Life’s short!

If you're interested in seeing what previous Lobster Runs were like, here are approximately a gazillion photos...

Default Drone Footage from 2017 Jaguar Lobster Run

Just a short clip [2 min 36 sec with the last 14 seconds a black screen] and this year we will have our drone operator (one of my friends from The Press Hotel) with us all the time:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SPD...TyAOMQVJV/view

P.S. One of the attendees from last year - one whom we hope will be returning this year - produced not only a fabulous “trailer” of the event with his GoPro but a 26+ minute “film” of the event. That, however, is not for mass consumption.

Default WANTED: GoPro Driver

I heard from Tman003 about his and his wife’s attendance and unfortunately the timing isn’t right. What that means is we’ll be without a car equipped with a GoPro. And while that certainly isn’t necessary, and we should have our drone operator with us much of the time, having moving images was a rather nice feature to last year’s event.

Let this serve as an early announcement for someone to “pick up the torch”?
