2018 R-Dynamic -- To modify the exhaust, ECU, or not?
Having had previous V6 F-types, I'm finding that this latest one doesn't have the same pops/crackles as the previous ones I've owned. I used to be able to orchestrate them by simply letting up on the accelerator once hitting 3,000 rpm. I did have the dealership look at the rear muffler to see if the valves were stuck (a problem I had on a previous model). They did recommend to replace the whole muffler because the dealership can't replace the valves on their own. But, the dealership said that it could be the software update that has neutered my cat. I'm definitely not interested in spending $3.5k (CAD) for a new OEM muffler. I'm now considering a few different options instead:
1. Go to a non-JLR shop to have the valves replaced
2. Consider removing the resonators inside the muffler and installing straight pipes
3. replace the exhaust with a Velocity AP exhaust
4. Leave the exhaust as is and install the Velocity AP ECU tune
5. Do nothing
I'm still not sure whether changing the valves is actually going to make a difference to the exhaust note. Having said this, if in fact one of the valves is stuck shut, then installing the ECU tune may not help me in terms of the exhaust sound. I realize the ECU tune isn't necessarily installed for the exhaust note, but I figured getting some extra HP and a better exhaust sound (which I see reports that the tune does increase pops/crackles) would be an added bonus.
Just when I think I need more of that exhaust note, I end up driving the car on the highway and fall in love again with the current stock state as being totally fine. That's why option 5 is on my list too.
Anyone want to throw in their 2cents?

Having driven various V6 F-types and the V8 F-type -- the sound from the tune is definitely more pops/crackles like the V8 throws out. I've only driven around the block a few times but I've noticed the extra HP on the throttle too but I'm going to take it on the highway to get a better sense of the power.
