Default 2018 Skyline Drive (VT) Rally

We just started planning a Rally to Vermont for early/mid July 2018. One f the best parts will be Skyline Drive, as usual, F-Type only and as usual departing on the border of NY/CT. Any interest in here?

Skyline Drive is beautiful and scenic but very frustrating for an F-Type driver. The speed limit is never more than 35, often less, and heavily enforced. Continuing on the Blueridge Pkwy is a bit better at 45 mph.

He's referring to Skyline Drive in VT, which I admit I'd never heard of. Looks nice. I've been across southern VT on VT-9 many times, which has some fun parts.

Looks lovely. DJS and I - as I’m sure many here are - are lovers of nature and hiking and if time and distance weren’t such a great hinderance, I would have loved to include a drive to Millinocket and a climb up spectacular Mount Katahdin.

NEVER!

I had written something concerning the speeds listed in your post but then thought better of it. If anyone’s an idiot, it’s me.

I agree with the speed limits issue (it's no tail of the dragon) but it is supposed to be a stunning scenic drive. Worth putting a smile on the wives faces. Most of the folks in out group come with their wives so it needs to be a win/win. Personally I would love to trailer the motorcycle for it but that's not an option.

I came up with an interesting route from West dover consisting of about 140 miles and a good mix of speeds (Dover - Chester, Manchester - Bennington, Wilmington areas).

I'm a firm believer that it's the journey, and not the destination. I'm also a firm believer that it's the company you keep and NOT the speeds you take. Contrary to popular belief, I err on the side of caution when driving in a convoy.

Separately, FType17, kindly let me know your intentions of joining us in August as soon as you can.

Starting May 20th, we usually do something every weekend anyway. June 16th is the Newport Rally (a lot of work) but it's gun and we are a pretty tight group
