Aston must feel same way as Conv. Vantage has the similar grill to DB11.

The front end was outdated, they had to change it. I like more the new. The new rear end too is a bit better

Default Awful, awful awful

Saw the same car at Orlando jaguar while having my 2017 ftype r annual service. Front end does nothing for me, I asked my wife to look at it and she said “ugly” and turned away. Guess we won’t be considering one as a replacement.

This is your opinion - and that is valid. But for so many of us the original frontal design remains more attractive - and better integrated into the overall shape of the car. In the design history of Jaguar cars the original has always been the purest and most cohesive (think of the first E-Type versus the last E-Type) - one significant deviation is in the Series III XJ which was declared to be the most beautiful sedan in the world (and it was, and, arguably, still is).

Yup, and that front end is just as bad. It looks like a late-model Miata with a mustache. Swing and miss. I think the new Aston Vantage design language has really suffered along with the F-Type the last year or two.

Most likely, I know mine gets them. It's amazing how much more attention having the correct color combination commands.

Tough crowd in here.

The least attractive pictures of both cars are from low and dead on the front, a view that you would usually only get if you were lying on the road about to be run over. In which case your dismay over the appearance of the grille is really the least of your concerns.

The straight front view may be unpleasant, but the lateral or angle (not straight) view is way better.

The previous design could have been updated just by removing the horizontal bar from the middle of the grill and I would have still liked it. I think the previous headlights looked good, and as others have mentioned were a design tribute to the pre-1967 (or whatever the last year was with the headlights under glass) E types.
But the 2021 model is such an attractive car from all angles in general, I sure won't be wearing a disguise to hide my shame while driving one in case anybody recognizes me.

That might be why I like it so much - I'm used to it!

It is the Datsun 240z syndrome all over again. Each year the F-Type gets .... worse. Happens to most cars. Just the way it is ....

Yep, makes me happy to know I have the original and best, the first year of the coupe.
Even though I lust after an R or SVR I reckon I will be keeping what I have until I am pushing up daisies!

Oh, I don't know. The 300ZX was a good looking car and the 370Z was a vast improvement over the 350Z. Datson/Nissan has some hits and misses on that model. Mostly misses though..

I remember the first time I saw a 2+2 E Type. I was puzzled at why the beautiful lines looked distorted. I got closer and peered into the windows and saw why. And was really disturbed to see that it had an automatic. I had never heard the term 'secretary special" before but when I did I remembered that Jag. And the 2+2 Nissan 260Z's.

Perfect choice. Did they discount the 21?
