Actually the English pronunciation is Jag-U-ER. JAG-U-ARE is a mispronunciation by colonial natives.
This guy gets it right.

But England has more local accents than the rat of the English speaking world combined so it wouldn't surprise me if we are both right.

With my BMWs I always preferred the manual until I bought the most recent M5. With the latest models the manual seems inappropriate given the speed of the engine and how fast it revs and delivers power.

The ZF MT in the F-Type V6 isn't sturdy enough to handle the torque of the V8 engine and would disintegrate it quickly.

With the right manual, 500+HP can be driven very smoothly with a manual. The C6 Z06 was only available with a 6MT Tremec, and it could be driven as smooth as silk. It was one of my favorite cars of all time.

My neighbor is a part owner of the local Jag dealership and said the 8cyl chewed up the clutch by the hour. I am not enough of an intelligent car guy to be able to explain properly, but it was something to do with the torque as Foosh said...... and I love edumacation. If you can explain in more depth... is it that the gears get torn apart?
