Default 380W vs 770W steroe with external sub

Hey all, I'm currently in the hunt for an F-Type V6 S which I'll get in a few months. One thing I'm noticing when looking at 2015/16 models is that I'm having to pay up to $5k more to find a car with the 770W system. In my current car I have a 12" Pioneer shallow mount sub/box that does an incredible job and should be pretty unobtrusive in the Jag.

If I were to add this to the trunk of the F-Type do you think it would alleviate the need for the 770W system? The main benefit of the upgrade would be the center channel speaker and the Meridian Surround mode correct? Is that worth the several thousand dollar upgrade? (Currently a $3k difference if we're not including black cars which I'd never get).

Ah, so it is. So the 2016 S with the longer warranty/maintenance, 770W, updated nav system, and the other benefits of the S vs base makes a compelling argument to spend the extra money.
