The dealer I have gone to has always been super nice.

From what I remember reading about doing a tune or other alteration, the warranty is still good for those items not affected by the mod. If you speak with Stuart@VAP, he can give a better feel of exactly how safe the tune is but I know they've done hundreds of cars without any issues. OTOH, like all things in life, there is a small risk that I was willing to take so you have to weigh that out. Had I blown the engine, it's not such a big deal for me at this stage of my life [late 60's]. If this had been one of the 911's I had in my 30's/40's, that would have been another story. I just figured why not have the car the way I want it, then be reasonable and hope for the best!
thank you so much. amazing information. I think lowering it is the way. Just finished up more homework on my warranty issue. yup you're right and the warranty was added after, I bought it used.

Just found this thread. I have had my 2018 Sport for 2 years and I absolutely love it. No mods aside from winter tires as it's a daily driver come rain or snow. No regrets and it keeps me smiling along with anyone else comes along.

Some shots of my dad's 400 Sport on the Carbon Rotor OEM wheels. I bought the wheels to be track wheels for my car, but my dad likes them so now the 400 Sport wheels are my track wheels.
I was hoping to track his car at my last track day, but I spent all the time in my car as I was trying to learn stickier 200 treadwear tires.

My wife and I just purchased a 400 Sport a couple weeks ago from a private seller. We had test driven a 400 Sport, a '15 R, '17 R convertible, and '17 R coupe prior. As much as I enjoyed the power of the V8, it didn't seem practical as a daily driver, which is what we were looking for. Also, my 6'5" frame did not fit well in the 2017 and earlier models due to the thicker seats so a 2018+ was a must. I searched for a 2018+ AWD V6 coupe that was well maintained for a couple of months. Luckily we found a Santorini Black 400 Sport that had been well taken care of and had just 32k miles on it. The seller was a genuine Jag enthusiast (this was his 10th and he was selling it to get a new F-Type) and the entire transaction was a pleasure and fluid even though we were 900+ miles apart. The car was a blast to drive through the Smoky Mountains on the way home and we have been loving it since. Happy to see others are still enjoying this limited run F-Type!

Sounds like an awesome experience, my Dad and I are long overdue for a trip through some mountains to enjoy our cars.

I stumbled on a thread discussing the upcoming Tail of the Dragon run ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...-drive-267596/)

Looks like you may have driven some of those roads, looks like a blast.

Mine is Santorini black black too, I love the yellow stitching against the black leather.

Enjoy.. dB

Yes, I'm trying to find experiences/testimonials to help justify the price increase of a 400 Sport over the standard 'S' AWD or 'R dynamic' AWD
It is my number one color choice, I like the interior and the high contrast stitching. I'll be in and out of it all day, so the newer seats (with heat and ventilation) which I've read are more comfortable and allow more headroom/legroom, are a nice bonus as well. It has less than 4K miles on it and 2 full years of warranty.
Problem is, its $10K more than the '17 S's I'm currently looking at. But they also have 25K to 35K miles.
Decisions...decisions...
I think the lower miles is worth the price difference

So long as the reason for the lower miles wasn't that the car was undriveable for long periods having remedial work done?
