4th Annual Tail of the Dragon Event
#23
Bringing this back up to the top of the forums, for anyone who may be interested or for those who are following. We've continued to update our events page with more details and recently sent out a welcome letter to all those who have signed up. We've also enabled a What's App chat for those coming as well. Make sure to see the updates on the Allevents page and the various FB groups as well. Our most recent sponsor, Nexgen, will be providing all participants something special inside their welcome kits! Please make sure to check them out at getnexgen.com for more details.

Yes, in our excitement, we sent the welcome letter out ahead of the Lodge's Tavern reopening date, so you are correct. Please call in after this date to make reservations. Thank you for the heads up here!

I know it has been a little bit since our last update, although we did recently send out a survey link and welcome letter part 2 if you have not already reviewed it. (check your email). After some time away for my anniversary, I am back in the office this week and wanted to provide a few updates.
First and foremost, we have finalized our sponsor list and working to get sign off on a few marketing pieces so we can post up a link to our shirt design for this years event. Secondly, we've also recently confirmed our raffle prize drawing location. Immediately following dinner on the evening of May 14th, we will be hosting a fireside raffle prize drawing at the Tapoco Lodge! We are excited to have this area for our participants and should make for great conversation and end of day festivities, including our raffle drawings.
Speaking of raffle prizes, we have an incredible list of sponsors and prizes that we will be raffling off this year. Over $4k in raffle prizes!!! All participants will receive (2) free raffle tickets in their welcome kit and additional tickets are being sold for $5 each, all proceeds to benefit Dreamcars4kids. Additional tickets can be prepaid through F-Type Revolutions VENMO account @ftyper or at the event in cash or again through VENMO. The prize list includes:
Grand Prize - Full Set of Continental Tire Set of Tires (valued at $1500)
Unique Auto Development Apple CarPlay Kit (valued at $600)
Velocity AP Data Logger Software and Tactrix Openport 2.0 (valued at $450)
Madness Autoworks Go Pedal (valued at $300)
Guardian Design Set of Paddle Shifters (valued at $250)
AUTOart Diecast 1:18 Model (valued at $200)
BMC Filter Set for F-Type (valued at $150)
Nexgen Clay Bar Kit & Foam Gun kit (valued at $100)
Liqui Moly Oil Change Kit (valued at $100)

100 Years of Jaguar Book (valued at $50)
The Complete Book of Jaguar (valued at $50)
AutoTempest Swag Pack (valued at $40)

Kudos skizot (and Happy Anniversary) for posting/hosting this thread and event along with the list of sponsors as they deserve a “shout-out”, particularly for such a great cause.
Well done!
Best regards,
Jay

Kudos skizot (and Happy Anniversary) for posting/hosting this thread and event along with the list of sponsors. I’ve taken a rather low-key approach to expressing my thanks to those companies who have sponsored aspects of the 7 events I’ve hosted—although my “With Thanks & Gratitude” which I post along with the itinerary after each event should put an appropriate spotlight on them.
I’m also glad you’ve posted the “prizes” given away as I was thinking (operative word being thinking; as I kinda like surprising everyone attending) of doing just that—well, that or the company providing it—for our next event scheduled for the fall.
Well done!
Best regards,
Jay
P.S. Needless to say I could probably acquire lots more great stuff to provide the attendees of my events but 1) I’ve always been more about quality over quantity 2) it’s not like our F-Types can hold lots of great stuff (and I have shipped various members some items from time to time in the past; and that is surely going to happen this year after one special visit we are making).
Oh yeah, I love the concept of donating funds to worthy causes. We do that all the time for our events and I usually do that on my own (without any fanfare or recognition; neither of which I am seeking or desire).

Currently only offering it in the black color. There is a blue and heather gray option for the F-Type Forever Logo Tee if you’d prefer a different color but does not include the sleeve or back printed details.

For those who are signed up for this event, the 3rd installment of our welcome letter went out last week with some additional details. Including raffle drawing location, merch store details, What's App channel and more. Make sure to check it out. May is approaching quickly and event will happen, rain or shine! Looking forward to meeting those who are attending and looking to expand what we do in future years events as well.
