Is this actually the case? I thought Unhinged said pre K27XXX is 315MHz.?

Further research has revealed that the switchover to 433 actually occurred earlier than 273xx, but some kind of protocol changed making pre-273xx sensors incompatible with post-273xx cars. Universal aftermarket 433hz sensors are available to address both protocols.
