6 year/ 96,000 mile service - what is a fair range?

Have a 2016 F-Type convertible, just out of warranty now, with about 25,000 miles on it. My dealer has informed me I'm due for my 6 year/96,000 mile service, and is quoting me $2,247.47 after tax.
According to KBB, a fair range for 96,000 mile service on this vehicle should be $666-$903.
I asked the service center why it cost so much, and was told parts were $680.45, the hourly labor rate was $255.00 and the labor time (as calculated by Jaguar warranty time for service) was 5.6 hours.
Anyone have any opinions on what a reasonable price for this service is? Should I try to find a good shop around me or some kind of extended warranty/service plan instead of bringing it back to the dealer? Not handy, so can't do any of the work myself.
Thank you in advance!

Since it is out of warranty I’d be looking for a reputable independent shop to take care of the items on the list of “inspect / replace” items. The emphasis being on reputable shop that you can use instead of the vastly overpriced dealer option. Perhaps there are some members on here in your area that have experience with shops near you. That is how I’d pursue the matter. The quoted price seems excessive to me.

The six year / 96k miles service is a big one with several extra items not part of a normal yearly service which in turn is just new engine oil and filter..
These are:
- New spark plugs
- New SC drive belt
- New brake fluid
- New pollen filter
The big ticket item is the new spark plugs, not because of the cost of the plugs themselves (although they are about three times the cost of "ordinary" plugs) but because of the labour, they are a right royal PITA to get at.
The other three things on the "extras" list should not cost a helluva lot as the parts are cheap and they are not labour intensive. The pollen filter is a two minute job!
Thing is at 25k miles you almost certainly don't need new spark plugs yet, the OEM plugs are NGK Iridiums and they are designed to last 100,000 miles plus and you no longer need to get them changed just to preserve the warranty,
As Mark7Seven said your best bet is to find a good independent mechanic who can do the job for a fraction of the exorbitant cost the dealership is quoting.
Edit - here is a copy of the 2016 Maintenance Checklist (AKA Service Schedule):

SC belt is pretty easy and straight forward with two people. Most time consuming part is taking off the aerodynamic under shield. which might not even be necessary (mine was off because was changing the crank pulley)
Brake fluid is brake fluid
Cabin filter can be done in under 5 minutes blind folded

I replaced my spark plugs this year as a precaution. I didn’t want any plugs to be seized in the head after six year. Cost of plugs $103 labor $245. I personally think it’s crazy to have a maintenance schedule not related to mileage but to a predetermined time! Cars with 15k that must have multiple maintenance performed ($$$$) for a vehicle with 96k miles. At no cost fine but out of warranty not so much. Most of maintenance work is inspection and fluid change, go independent.

For 6years/96000miles (I have 2015 f-type R, 68,000 miles at the time) I did pay 832 -10% + tax at jaguar madison last march.

Being in the same situation as you, here is what I did instead.
Oil, Filter Change Liqui Moly Top Tec 6600 Series with Mahale Filter - $100
Spark Plugs, NGK 94940 - Amazon has sellers for less then $100 shipped
Brake Fluid Flush - 2 Liters of ATE SL.6 $32
Motive Brake Bleeder (good for more than one use) $56
Shell Tec Transfer Case Fluid $28
Cabin Filter $16
I didn't need to mess with the supercharger belt as I have a new one with my VAP goodies
Grand total (including brake bleeder cost) = $332.00 Labor = Free! You can do it, just read up, take your time. You will be fine.

I agree with all the sentiment in this thread. Moreover, I think you’ll probably be due for the real six year service soon, which is replacing worn out coolant pipes and water pump. You’re probably okay for another 10,000k miles or a year but it could creep up on you eventually. I would wait for now and just do everything at the same time in about a year or so.

Sure appreciate all the thoughtful and detailed responses, thank you so much to everyone. This forum is the best.
Sounds like I should find a reputable independent shop near me and stay on top of the schedule myself, which I guess makes sense especially given I'm out of warranty and not driving it as much.
Thanks again.

Another thing not yet mentioned here is the satisfaction and surety you get from DIY servicing.
I for one and I guess most here are careful and meticulous when servicing my F-Type so I know it has not just been done but done right. Correct oils, fluids, filters and other parts and correct amounts.
Too many stories of shoddy work by dealerships especially engine oil overfilling of AWDs.
