I'd love to hear it too (I bet everybody here is anxious to) , are they changing the head unit or will your new system still use the available THX/Meridian/Stereo/Dolby Codecs?

Let me know if you decide to sell the unused speakers, I could build new set for my turn table.

Hey Whirlinturbin,

Are they doing anything or making any changes each time you take it? I've gone in twice so far but the dealers just do not have a solution. At this point are telling me they can't do anything about it and the system is just poorly designed so there is no point of throwing parts at it. I convinced the foreman that this isn't an issue in every single 2016 therefore it isn't just a poor design and I plan on taking it in again but I wanted to know more about your experiences.

Since the head unit is integrated into the performance of the car as well we thought it was best to leave alone. Actually I never even considered it because they said there is no reason to change head units now a days. The speakers and processor is what makes it sound so good and the Audsion Bit One is the top on the market (thanks LobsterClaw) for introducing me to that. I've done a lot of research and everyone has agreed, but make sure you go to an authorized user that knows how to program. The damn processor has to get connected to a computer for programming and the takes a day alone to set up I believe 4 settings. Anyhow, I'm excited to hear those Focal speakers on that processor. Like I said, if my audio tuner can't get it to sound good (which I have complete faith in them) I will be heading to Atlanta to hunt for Lobster and his tuner. LOL..

If I decide to part with the speakers I will let you know.

Thank you

JV

I'm guessing this isn't anybody on the forum, but this seems like a pretty nice setup:

nope, it's a nice set-up, but not sure why they went with Focal components in the doors compared to the 3 ways unless cost was an issue. The difference between the two is only $700.00 well now that they're on sale, but before was about a $1,000.00 difference. I'm sure it sounds fantastic and glad to see they installed a processor too. Can't wait to hear how this small car sounds especially being a coupe'.

Default Update

Took my car to the dealership yesterday and it turns out that JLR [finally] has a fix for the issue. Apparently there will be a software update in 2 months. Will it work? Who knows?

I'm taking my in tomorrow morning for this same problem. Sadly, I have a feeling that I will suffer the same fate as many of you because when I asked the people there about it...

They ALL had no idea nor heard anything about it. Also, clueless about the bulletin sent out as well as quoting me that it will get done in about an hour or so.
Needless to say, I'm nervous and pissed...
P.S. Mine is 2016 S AWD

I'm going in for an oil change in a couple of weeks, and although my stereo system has been good, (2015 ftype R / 770 W) I ask about a fix for those having trouble... I was told that the problem is acknowledged and the fix would be out before too long.
Lawrence.

Did yours already get the TSB fix. Hopefully that's not what they are referring to?

Isn't the TSB fix just the foam insulation?

Yes, that's my understanding.

If there is only one Oz, he must be very busy then.

Well, got my 2015 Coupe back last night after the TSB V2 (which just came out a couple of days ago). It's a little better, I guess. But I STILL get some rattling at even medium sound levels. Wish I had better news.
