Please tell me you're just goofing around on the internet. Do you really think 60 Minutes will do a story on people upset with their luxury car audio system? Perhaps if the system had electrocuted people who attempted to adjust the controls they'd be interested.
Check the terms and conditions of your warranty;
Make sure you've given the manufacturer reasonable attempts to repair defect;
Make sure defect remains;
Send notice of dispute to manufacturer; and
Prepare to file a demand for arbitration.

Clearly many of you are irate about this whole ordeal. So have you guys considered lemon law protection?
Yes, but most state lemon laws will first defer to the manufacturer's dispute resolution procedure as an initial step. I believe that Jaguar USA's warranty agreement will include a mandatory arbitration clause with a defined procedure. There's no reason why any of you should remain quiet or conciliatory without exhausting your legal rights.
Yes, this is the way to handle the situation. However, there may be an escape clause if it isn't something related to the the operability or safety of the vehicle.

Foosh, where can I get that feature? Every time my wife gets in the car, she has to fiddle with the knobs. I keep telling her that grab handle is to mark the boundaries of her territory, but to no avail.
I asked my dealer about radio complaints. They've sold about 200 F Types locally and have tried to fix 5! One customer went lemon law and Jag took back the car, not only problem.They just try to tighten every thing and add more padding with mixed success. 1 convert, 4 coupes! They think not set up for good bass. It took Maserati over 2 years to sort of fix their's and replace with different brand.

I think you'll need to find an aftermarket shop to handle that. Perhaps Lobster or Smoke can recommend someone, since they both had their interiors recently disassembled and rebuilt. :-)

That's what the eject button is for. You thought it was just for the CD...
Guys, I saw this on AOL auto news section, which basically stated Jaguar customer satisfaction is poor due to electronic and electrical issues . Article is a JD POWERS auto satisfaction survey.

Yeah they offered that to me, but I decided against it for now, but told them we will re-visit next month when it's back in their shop. I will let you know how it works out. LOL
I'm set to DTS surround balance is center with a slight front bias, bass, treble, sub are set to slightly over half. Mine is the 1,100 watt system.
Those are the same settings I use and volume has to be high enough for the high frequencies to drown out road and wind noise. But 1100 watts? How did that come about?

I can't put my bass anywhere near half. 3 clicks to right of 0 is about all that can be tolerated if I don't want to keep resetting the controls on a song by song basis. That's for CDs too.
I was able to record both the tweeter rattle and the dashboard rattle.
The recordings came off really well on the video, they're very representative of the in-car experience.
Check this playlist, it has 2 videos for the tweeter rattle, and 3 for the dashboard. Note that the Forum embeds only the first video here, make sure to click on the top title link to go to the playlist with all 5 videos.
I used an USB stick, with songs purchased from iTunes store, hence at 320kbit quality. Although I can reproduce this with just Spotify streaming of the same songs.
I would be very interested to hear if you guys are seeing the same issue, and particularly with the same songs.
Here are the test songs I used during the video. For reference only, including the youtube links too, but again I used the iTunes version playing off USB.
1) Röyksopp - Here She Comes Again

I have to be honest I'm sick of all these radio complaints. Obviously some people do have a real problem in combination with a dealer unwilling to do anything extra to figure out the problem. Obviously many of us have no problem, me, or have a dealer that figured out a fix. This system is not very good with bass, so you turn down the bass to get the best out of it. When I got the car the car the upgrade was $1200. The people that have gone the pro upgrade route spent $4k or more, that should tell you what it takes to get great sound. Also the resale on this car is bad enough without the constant complaints. I f the car you had before had a radio you liked and that is so important go buy another one of those. Jag has sold 10's of thousands of this car by now and if this required a recall they would have been ordered to. Will they eventually change out the system.....probably. Will ever get a lemon law take back because of the radio? Never!
The software survey was for cars 2004-2014! Lots of variations in that time. Is radio buzzing considered a software issue? Doubt it. Ford had great cars that dropped way down on quality rating because nobody liked their new infotainment system, had nothing to do with performance or reliability. BMW's was hated for years but cars kept selling because you were buying a performance sedan. I don't think anyone has ever told me they bought an Audi for the MMI. You can't buy a new Ferrari unless you already have and no magazine ever mentions its software other than how it is used to set the car up, not where traffic is! Tesla only company to have state of the art tech and max performance, but of course in a $100k sedan, maybe Merc S550 also!
bjg625 if you are sick of the radio complaints, why are you on the post where the discussion is taking place. What is wrong with trying to find a solution to a pretty frustrating issue for a lot of people on this forum.
For the people who claim to have no issue at all with the system, have you tried to replicate the issues using some of the problematic songs, specifically some of the songs mentioned by Pistol above.
