Help, it appears my AC condensation drain is clogged. My mechanic tells me I have two options, pull dash or drop the transmission in order to access the drain.
A “normal” car has a tube that discharges water that is accessible from underneath.
Has anyone dealt with this issue?
does anyone have input on a fix short of $1200-$1500 in labor to access the drain?

The XK has a similar issue and it can be remedied by clipping the end of the rubber drain tube. Try a search for this issue (A/C condensation drain) on the XK forum and you'll find a thread with tons of information. I don't know for sure that the F-Type has the same design, but on the XK it can be done easily from underneath or on top with some time studying it and some ingenuity. If the F-Type has a similar design, this could be very useful information.
I did the job on my XK from underneath without too much trouble.
Hope this helps.

There was a thread here about four months ago where someone had the same problem. He solved it by closing all the vents and putting the fan on "High", which blew out the blockage. Try that first. He also said that the F-type A/C drain is extremely hard to get at.
