Default Active exhaust fittng to V6 base

Hi,

New to the forum and cannot find what I am after, I have the base V6 great car with the sports exhaust.

I was wondering could I either buy the active exhaust and fit but force the valves to stay open to make the car have the louder hippo snorting noise when letting off the gas.

Or could I all the addition L shape pipes which goes into the muffler if that's the only difference which again would always be open???

The F-type I bought was such a good deal but without active.

Thanks

Active exhaust makes car quieter when valves closed.

+1. The open Active Exhaust is just a little bit louder than the base car exhaust. Installing an active exhaust won't make the base V6 much louder or "snortier".

Thanks all, I only picked the car up Friday. Just now I went down the country road and put in dynamic and S and does sound really decent like a supercar almost and a machine gun popping when letting of around the bends.

A bit childish but made me happy and a lovely sunny day today in the UK

I had another little drive around and found that using the paddles created more noise especially when letting off in second gear around the 6k rev mark fire gun noises and if I press the peddle hard through the gears it thuds nice. I cannot get quite the same with the auto or maybe it's because I'm more engaging the changes myself ???

To some extent, the transmission learns your driving style, so it may change with time. Also, be sure to use dynamic mode if you have it.

I didn't realise it does that, I'm so happy with the car it's the best built car I've owned and I've had various Mercedes , audis etc but this just feels solid 👌
