Having read the post about people not getting the switch and having to mess with fuses in order to get that F-type aggressive noise....well it looks like you need the Active Exhaust Switch if you want the badass exhaust note! Dynamic mode without the switch won't do it.
Switchable Active Sport Exhaust box checked!

Maybe a comparison with UK models would be illuminating:

Base model (coupe and 'vert) come without a bypass-valve equipped exhaust (so no switch). You can add both the exhaust and the switch to the car when ordering, at a price of £1,630.

V6S (coupe and 'vert) come with the bypass-valve equipped exhaust, but without the switch. You can have the switch added at any point (talk to your dealer - £350), or just pull the fuse. If you don't do either of these, the valves will only open in Dynamic mode.

V8 (coupe and 'vert) come with both the exhaust and the switch as standard.
