Active Exhaust in a Tunnel

It's hard to judge just how loud the active exhaust is when you are traveling the speed of sound in front of it. But today, returning from Berkeley, I went through the long Caldicott tunnel with the top down and active exhaust on. The noise was deafening. Couldn't even hear Clapton at high volume or the Harley coming up behind. Couldn't take my eyes off the road to turn it off either. My ears are still ringing like after a Who concert.

Love it every time i drive the cat..When you start acceleration at the entrance of the tunnel people at the end of the tunnel keep their ears shut. After this i decided only to accelerate when no one is in the tunnel. I did a noise measurement and recorded 110 db in the tunnel. with the windows down. Cannot decide how much the wind noise distorts the measurement but standings revs till 4000 rpm measured 118,6 db right behind the exhaust....it is a ridiculous loud machine....but Aventador is louder
i experienced during cars & coffee .
