Default Adding TPMS?

Hi guys,

My car did not come with TPMS originally from the factory (why such things should be optional?!), so I had a question on whether I can add the sensors and if the car would automatically detect them if it came without them from the factory.

Btw, I drive a 2015 R

thanks, Ahmad

There are quite a few bluetooth TPMS solution out there. Some use only a screw-on transmitter - it attaches to your valve stem so you don't need to remove the tires. Then see the tire pressure on your phone.
Just do a web search on bluetooth tpms...

I am assuming you are NOT in the US? As all cars since 2007 in US are required to have some TPMS system. If your car did not come with TPMS, simply installing the sensors is not going to work. There is the potential that the cars all come with the same wiring loom, and if so, AND if the receivers are actually in the car it may be possible to have the system enabled via JLR SDD or similar tools and then program the sensors to the car. I think this is unlikely, and an aftermarket Bluetooth kit is probably a more reasonable option.

Good luck,
DC
