Default Aftermarket CATS

Hi,

Has anyone looked into aftermarket Hi-Flow (200 Cell) CATS? I know there are numerous brands out there but looking for some high quality CATS to replace my primaries.

Thank you.

You're probably not going to find them certified for California. I've tried searching for my XKR for a long time. Doesn't exist.

Yep...nothing in California exists for anything... Just looking for a good quality high flowing CAT to weld in.

You might be best to just get a set of 200 cell down pipes from VAP. No welding, just bolt up. That would’ve easily allow you to put the OEM pipes back in if you need to get the car tested.

Even though it’s not legal in Cali (no CARB number), it should still pass basic smog. Not sure about STAR smog.

Thank you.
Unless you do some crazy fabrication work you'll need to replace both primaries and secondaries at the same time, they are integrated into the same canister.

A good quality Motorsport cat is going to run you around $200 (x2), the OEM tube size is metric but roughly 2 1/8", so you'll need one with cones down to that size or smaller. 4 O2 bungs for pre & post cat sensors and I would estimate about 4-5 hours labour to remove, cut cats out, mock up and weld. For good quality fab, parts & tig welding I would plan on spending about $900-1000.

Thank you Stuart, I see that you sell some 200 Cats. Would those work with OEM piping or would I have to reduce the cones even further?

The VAP parts are bolt in. Just buy his, you won't regret it.

Ours are a direct replacement for the entire catalyst/downpipe assembly. 100% reversible, no cutting/welding, very quick fitment.
