Air Conditioning not working correctly
Had a 2016 V6S convertible since March of this year. Low mileage. New batteries and cooling system upgrades at purchase time. Everything was working perfectly since I bought it. Love driving the car. This car is out of warranty and I don't have an extended warranty.
90% of my drives are with the top down. I leave the AC on auto. Recently I noticed the AC wasn't blowing cold. Playing round, I can get it to blow cold if I set it to "Lo". So I don't think it's low on refrigerant. I believe it's also not working when it should be blowing warm. I also notice that my ambient temperature on the dash seems to be reading much higher than the actual temperature, even during a longer ride where I would expect it to read correctly.
I 'm guessing it's some kind of a sensor. I did search the forums here already, but not much exists. I am a causal wrench. But I don't have an OBDI tool. Any suggestions, or do I just fold and make a dealer visit and pay for the diagnostic? Glad to me a member of the group. Thanks in advance!
