Document covering transport info. Apparently there is a Transit Mode that might have a speed limiter.

Yep, my dealer went into great detail about the delivery process. Apparently the "transit mode" limits the car to 20 mph.

Limits it to 26MPH. But also difficult to start, which would be an issue with valets. Haven't seen how to activate it yet, but cool document. Thanks!

Edit: P. 17 says "While the transit relay is installed..." so it sounds like a hardware thing.

From what my dealer described to me, it's not something that a customer can select or put the car back into. Apparently it's just a mode used by Jaguar when transporting the vehicle to the dealers for initial delivery.

Good eyesight. I wonder what this device is. The port docks must be littered with them....

Every manufacturer has a "ship mode" or transportation mode for every vehicle. This limits most functions unnecessary for the shipment process, and on many vehicles will completely disable functions like the radio, drive modes, etc.

These "ship modes" can only be activated using the engineering tools used by each manufacture and is turned on at the plant. Typically dealers turn this off with their manufacturer specific diagnostic tool, but often there is a sequence of buttons that can pressed which will also disable it.
