No wondering about it. The two worst Forums out there as far as negative comments on other cars are the Mustang and the Corvette Forums. They’d burn you at the stake for negative comments on the holy brand of their car. That’s a pitiful thing, but that’s how they are. The GTR Forum isn’t quite as bad, but this Jaguar F type Forum seems to have the most gentlemanly members, which I appreciate immensely.

No doubt about it; those guys will make you hate Corvettes. To be fair, the guys and gals in the racing section are pretty cool, as they are truly "car" people.

This forum acts more like grown-ups, which like you, I appreciate.

Being unable to tolerate any criticism is yet another sign of insecurity - and these days we find this behaviour in all spheres - I will refrain from mentioning an obvious example. Generosity and tolerance seem to be in very short supply. So let me say something positive about Corvettes: I love the split-window design of the early models (60's) and the current range of these iconic American cars are FAST.

I don't see any good reason to cut down another enthusiast's car, whether it's a Ford Focus or a Ferrari. Discuss yes-you might actually learn something.

Just to poke the bear. Though I did go with the c7 the car I really miss is a 991 c2s. It was the best of a series of water cooled 911s I had. If it weren’t 150 k to replace optioned as I would like, I’d be driving another. I can’t justify 150k for a daily driver. Though driving that car was amazing. Laser precision in steering and ridiculous speed came without drama.

Its the only car I have ever regretted moving on from since my first new car in 1988!
