I located a local independent shop that said they can install the EuroAmp coolant pipes. They have never worked on a F-Type before but have done other Jags. Taking car in tomorrow morning for the coolant pipe replacement and brake pad replacement. Significantly cheaper than the dealer. The current plastic pipes had good pressure test on my last service when I had the dealer check to verify no leaks, so doing this right now as good insurance against future issues. Mine was purchased prior to the thermostat metal outlet elbow tube being part of the kit so I bought that separately.

The fitment guide shows that the one with thermostat outlet hose elbow works on your 2017. I bought the elbow as a separate purchase. It didn't have the little circular propeller looking piece with the elbow kit. When I dropped my car at the shop this AM, they said that that part is for the coolant reservoir to prevent bubbles and replaces the plastic part. They said they had one and can swap it for metal.

I had the aluminum pipes installed at my So Cal JLR dealer with no issues. We did what they called a "coolant system update". Besides the pipes we installed the Uro Parts aluminum water pump connector and the brass thermostat connector elbow I had also purchased. I did not get the EuroAmp kit, did not know about it when I ordered the pipes and other parts. I had them install a new plastic rear water manifold.

And they also did a non-destructive Symposer removal, with a JLR LR025788 Plate - Blanking used instead of the Agency Power plate which did not fit. 113.79 for this plate seems high, but the Symposer was already out so I needed this done before I could pick the car up.

Total cost was 488.77 parts and 2,373.50 labor. Overall I'm happy with the work and the price.

I took all the old parts and they seemed still in good condition, not brittle, no signs of leaks or cracks. Not surprising given that the mileage is only just over 10k in a garaged car. I did have the original "sandwich" coolant pipes, so those were still being installed when my car was built.

That is great to hear that SoCal dealer service installed the non-OEM parts. The independent shop I am having the pipes installed quoted $1080 labor + ~$400 parts (OEM gaskets and coolant as listed in TSB). They are also doing brake pads f/r for $360 (I supplied Porterfield pads). I am also having battery replaced given allot of corrosion. They noted a very slight play in supercharger coupler, but that will be an update to solid coupler maybe at yearly service in 2023.

Are the newer OEM pipes now aluminum as well? I have a very low mileage 2016 and taking my car to the dealer this week since I want the coolant pipes checked along with a TSB for the overflow tank. I have an extended warranty and I have been smelling a light coolant smell for some time. I have added just a bit to the overflow tank, so if it is leaking it is minimal. I just didn't know what Jaguar is now using.

The OEM pipes are still plastic, just the later one piece (no more plasti-welded seam) type that came out some time in 2017.

Well I would assume it is still better to run with free OEM replacements if I can over getting aluminum. I am wanting to get this done before I do the pulley/tune just to be safe.

If a plastic pipe isn't leaking, would a dealer replace it for free? (Even though its not IF but WHEN)

Why would they replace for "free" unless you're referring to under warranty?

My experience with dealers is they won't replace until there is a fault, but they might monitor it. The probelm is they will replace the two-peice pipe with what they have in stock, which may be the same pipe as the part numbers are the same!

I'm replacing mine to mitigate any future issues.

Perhaps your dealer would allow you to supply the aluminum pipes instead of new plastic?

The coolant pipe replacement was successfully completed today. The shop sent me some pics after supercharger replacement and pipe install.

The aluminum coolant pipes worked perfectly. Picked up car. Feels good with the Porterfield brakes and car seems happy.

My minor leak at the moment was the coolant reservoir and cap. So essentially the TSB I brought it in for. So at this point my coolant pipes are still fine.

I went to the repair shop today to pickup the old parts and talked to the mechanic who worked on my car. The service advisor had noted that the brass elbow didn't work and kept popping out. The mechanic said this was incorrect info and that the brass elbow installed fine. The issue was the plastic retainer clip that came with the package that helped secure the elbow. It didn't fit tight enough to hold. He used the OEM plastic retainer clip and this worked fine on the brass elbow. Happy that the brass elbow worked, but a bit annoyed that the SA gave me the incorrect info. The mechanic also mentioned that he had to use shorter bolt on one of the tubes since the original one for the plastic tube was too long for the new aluminum pipe to properly secure it.

Regarding the need for a shorter bolt, I didn't encounter that issue with my 2013 XF. Maybe coolant wasn't removed from a blind hole?

I just fully polished mine and everything works great on the car! Love this upgrade as I now don't have to worry about the pipes getting brittle and leaking.
