I get that, thats why I said "...cheaper option for automatics...".

i'm also still trying to figure out the F-Type pedal and dead sizes as I don't have my car to measure yet. I asked in the other post if the Jaguar set will even fit an F-Type...

The dims are:

Dead ped 3.5x8.5.
Brake 3.25x(4.25b+5t).
Gas 2x5.

If someone with auto can measure their peds and dead area to see if the cheap Jag kit will even fit, I'd appreciate the info.

If I opt out, there still is a deal to be done for you manual guys. You need to gather more interest. I think our M3 deal was 14 deep.

Definitely satin.

I don't think we have even half that number of MTs active on this forum.

Well as soon as I get ped sizing info from someone, or I get my car next week, or I make it to a dealership; if cheap peds won't fit F-Type, then close to say 10 should be fairly easy. We're at three possibly four now? A lot will depend on final price.

When doing group buys, you'd also be surprised as to how many last minute add-ons you get. So many members look on without saying anything until the last minute.

The other issue in which i'll fix is the title of this thread. It only refers to manual pedals.

Let's move this convo to: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...1/#post1471387

The Manual Dimensions:
Throttle 1.5"wide x 4"tall
Brake & clutch 3"wide x 2"tall
Dead Pedal 3"wide (tapering to 4" at the bottom) x 11"tall (shorter ok).

Did anyone ever buy these for a MT. I am wondering if it moves the accelerator pedal closer to the brake

I just ordered a set.

To (belatedly) answer your question: the gas pedal extension from UP can be customized. Apparently 1" and 3/4" are popular choices.

Which leads me neatly to my question:

What is the optimal extension amount?
I have heel-toeing in mind.

Whadda y'all think?

Since I believe you are the first to order for the MT, we’ll be looking to you for guidance. I suspect that the optimal extension will be based on how big the bottom of your shoe is.

Ha, and here I was thinking I was late to the party.

Surely you don't mean to say you've been going without heel toe this whole time?? 😮

I'll make my best determination and report back once it's all set up.

I’ve gotten used to the OEM pedals, but would certainly appreciate a well designed set of performance pedals. I suspect in addition to changing the “footprint”, the elevation of one of the two pedals will have to be shimmed as well.

Evidently we do have a pioneer after all:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...talled-173483/

Looks decent.

For comparison, here are the pedals in the ND Mazda MX5 (the car that taught me to drive like a wannabe racer ).

The setup still wasn't ideal but blipping while on the brake wasn't too difficult if done by slightly rotating the foot and catching the accelerator with the heel.

I can do this with the oem f type 6mt pedals; but it's much more marginal. Half the time I've just been missing - my heel just ends up blipping the air beside the accelerator, and I feel silly. The other half the time my heel scuffs the side of the pedal box, and still no blip.

Put my ultimate order on hold since I wasn't sure what dimensions I wanted. Got an inexpensive attachment in the meantime. $25 CAD plus shipping. Adjustable width and height (sits higher).

To be honest, it works like a charm so far. I was a little dubious initially but it sits firmly and does the job. Easy heel toes. I see no practical reason to eventually get an actual custom set of pedals. Aesthetics are another matter... but honestly when's the last time you looked at your pedals. Of course a proper custom set would have a much nicer feel as well.

I'm thinking about ordering one of these. Anyone else have long term experience with them? Thanks.

It's still working just as well as day 1.
Hasn't budged a millimeter.

Blipping under braking is very easy with this setup - brake with the ball of my foot (1st & 2nd metatarsal heads, to be exact), then roll my foot over (supinate) to blip the throttle.
I've never caught the throttle unintentionally while braking.

What size did you buy? Small or large?

It's odd that JLR did not design the pedals well for heel toe to begin with. I wear size 10 shoes, and I can make it work, but it's needlessly hard.

I bought the large. Go pedal only, as you can see.

This car has a number of design gaps (pedals, shifter, weighs a ton, wheels too far inside the arches, laggy in various parts of the rev range,...).

I'd guess that they were largely consequences of constraints in the design/production process (deadlines, etc.).

Kind of like a Hollywood movie: the theatre version rarely or never matches the director's vision, due to constraints.

Luckily for us, we can address many of the aforementioned gaps with add-on goodies (see sig ).

Did anyone ever try to fit these OEM covers on the F-type MT? The site says they'll fit the MT Xe Range 2015 >, All New Xf 2016 >, F-pace 2016 >

There's no mention of the F-type but the pedals sure do look similar -- I just can't find measurements of the T2H3747 part.
