You're not too old. In my opinion IRR is an older person's color anyway. I don't normally see anyone in their 30s driving an IRR Jag. Us younger guys tend to prefer the Salsa Red.

I'm (very) late 40's and am under instructions from my wife and late teen kids that when it comes to buying the f type it MUST be red. And these are people that usually scoff at my car foolishness.

Personally, I'd be happy with the silver as well which I think shows off the shape really nicely.

Default Of course you are, and who cares?

Part of the fun of being older is that it really doesn't matter what others think as long was we are having fun. Get what puts the fire in your blood, you'll regret it otherwise and we're too old to get any more regrets.

Haha. Okay - the modern man's colors are Polaris White, orange and Salsa red. Although to me picking a stand-out bright color is less to do with age, and more to do with being bold.

But I think the true choice of a modern man would be a special order matte color like Frozen Grey or Frozen Bronze.

I'm glad somebody asked that, although I'd guessed it was some kind of red.

IMHO if you like the car and the colour go for it, never mind what anybody else thinks.

Yes, I would love the frozen bronze!

I'm mid 60's and would take Firesand in a minute but I wanted Stratus at the time. Love IRR but have had a number of red cars. My dealer has a very low mileage base Firesand and it looks great, if it was a loaded V8 I'd be tempted.

You all exceeded my expectations and I appreciate your time and encouraging thoughts. Stay tuned, when I pick the car up I will dutifully report to the group my choice!

Red is bold, but it's a "regular" car color so I don't think it's any issue. Now, if you want to get your car wrapped/painted smurf blue, chrome, etc., that may different.

You're too old to put up with anyone telling you you're too old to do anything you want to do.

Damn, IRR is a very elegant color and you're not really that old. If this car will put a smile on your face TD go get it and let it roar!

35 and as soon as I saw IRR in person I had to have it. Salsa red to me is too boring. Any gloss (non-metallic) red for that matter. It always comes off looking like plastic to me, even the famed Rosso corsa red on Ferraris.

I am a professional with a big 4 firm, musician since I was 4, am 60 now, and worked my way out of poverty in the big city (parents never let us feel this though). Always thought, someday I will get myself this car or that, but legitimately.

Here I am, thinking fresh like a 20 year old, body is feeling the age a "bit", but I never ever bought or did anything based on what others think. If I can't look at the car and turn my head in appreciation, then I don't get it. I now live in a neighborhood that is "affluent", but with this said the thought process of some of these fools is worse than poverty. Those who don't want to know you for who you are, but rather how much you have, what you do etc.

Story line above......"GO FOR WHAT FLOATS YOUR BOAT", and if you can't turn your head or feel good in the car, don't do it. Be nice to others, but draw the line on letting others drive what you feel makes you be nice!

Good Luck, and let us know please. You deserve to treat yourself with the best, and these Jag's rock for sure.

<===Pamper yourself :-)
