That's because nothing Nissan or Infiniti has produced in the last 50 years looks as good. I still have my 280Z bought new in 1978. It's about to go through its 3rd restoration. But recently I went for a long ride in my friend's GTR, for the first time, and I have to say it was the worst riding, sounding, feeling car I have ever sat in in over 50 years of driving. What a complete pile of crap. Honestly, even with its spectacular performance parameters, you couldn't get me to sit in one ever again. And I told my friend that I would never ride in that awful car ever again.

I "Fairlady" 200 Z in Japan in 1974. Right hand drive. To bad they did not hold up well. I understand rust was a big problem.

My first new car after graduating college was a '71 240Z. I loved it for 3 years until I moved to Vegas and needed real air con. My father took me to his bank to finance it, $109 for 36 months! I later had a bunch of Z's and ZX's. The new one definitly reminds me of that first one and my Jag.
