Default Another what is this thing? Help

Just took delivery of a new F Type R and this thing was in the trunk. Any idea where it goes? Looks like a cover for something.

Anyone? I bet this will be a tough mystery to solve. Let's see if anyone figures it out because I've checked all over the car. No idea.

It looks like the two prong computer plug that makes the 2021 R exhaust even quieter when it's removed : )

I recall this being asked before. I think somebody said it is plugged in somewhere in the trunk during shipping, then removed when the car arrives at the dealership. Ask the dealer.

First person I asked was the sales guy. He had no idea. It's a hard plastic cover that matches the trim inside the trunk. Idk

This piece is part of the cargo cover. It snaps into another plastic piece on the underside where the cover rests on the two pins (one for each side). My experience is that they don’t stay on very well.

Thanks. Can you take a pic of this thing installed? I looked all over the place and have no idea where this goes. The cargo cover in my car doesnt rest on pins. It rests on a lip. Then again, I'm not sure what the cargo cover is. I'm referring to the removable cover that hides the tire repair stuff. The luggage cover that opens with the hatch also doesnt rest on pins that I can see.

He is talking about the "luggage cover" that opens with the hatch.
Open the hatch and look under the front corners of the cover (front as in towards the front of the car) and you will see the slots that the pins of the cover sit in, and on the undersides of those slots you will see the offending pieces. Well in your case you should see only one of them and a gap where the other should go!

Guys, thank you! Mystery solved. I found it. Both sides were missing. Luckily I found the other one in the storage area.
