Default Anyone else been told this?!?!

Just sat in Kwikfit for them to check and reset my alignment. They just told me they won’t do it as a) I’ve got carbon on the wheels and so they don’t want to risk damaging them and b) they won’t be able to reset the reversing camera?!

Any ideas? Never heard of this before.

Hmmm, sounds like they're worried about liability issues. There's some tire dealers around here that won't touch your wheels if you have spacers, and others that have no issue with them.

Sounds like they had a previous experience that didn't work out so well.

Man - if your alignment is so off that it affects the rear view camera....

Sounds like a complete load of hogwash to me.
I have 15 mm spacers all round and Blade wheels, I had VAP springs fitted a few months ago and immediately after I had a full wheel alignment done, and the aligner didn't say anything about the spacers or the CF inserts and had no trouble at all getting it done.
And I fail to see how a wheel alignment could have any effect at all on the reversing camera.
I would take your car somewhere else to get a wheel alignment done.

Just don't use Kwikfit. I tend to stick to smaller independents for any tyre/alignment issues.
