Default Anyone else tired of 'Pressing [OK] To Clear'?

Just picked up my wife a Range Rover Evoque and I think we're both developing carpel tunnel in our thumbs...

I seldom bother. It goes away eventually. Never figured out what it was complaining about.

I'm tired of it. I can't confirm DSC mode without clearing that.

When does this message come up? I don't think I've seen it yet.

On mine, it clears itself after a few seconds, without interfering with selecting Dynamic, Eco Off etc.

No, it's the instrument cluster. You get the message for lots of things - trying to put the car in gear with a door open, for example, asks for confirmation (I think.) But on startup, that message shows up without an accompanying error message.

Weird! Ok, I'll pay attention next time I start the car. Don't think I've ever noticed it.

Try not to listen to the sound of radio presenters breathing in as well. That's also really irritating.

It's the same issue on our Range Rover. Some Brit apparently is very concerned with things being [OK]

Buckle up before you start the car. You'll never see it. Otherwise it auto cancels to your default setting within a few seconds. It's always gone by the second glance in that direction.

Ah, that's why I've never noticed it. My routine is always to put my seatbelt on prior to starting the car.

I always get it for the washer fluid being low on mine. I also was able to get an F-Type as a loaner while mine was being serviced and even that one had the same message popping up. :P You learn to live with it.... lol

I start the engine first. While waiting for it to drop out of fast idle, I buckle up, switch (custom) dynamic mode, set the muffler to quieter (for the neighbors), and go to TracDSC. That means that before the last step, I need to tell the system that I'm [OK]. I could wait longer, but my routine is that once it's off fast idle, I drive away gently until it's warmed up.

As I said before, goes out by itself within seconds. No need to even think about it. Maybe it doesn't actually go out until the car starts moving and all alarm conditions are eliminated.

Reminds me of the book from the 70's....."I'm OK, You're OK"! Pleasant reading, but there has to be a reason for this, and buckle up first then engage. I established my routine, buckle up, start, hit eco off, and engage whatever the hell else I want to engage, including the "honey do list" from my wife.

Yes it used to annoy me, but then I started ignoring it and now I don't even notice it anymore, in fact I had forgotten it even did this until I saw this post.
