We developed a very unique type of spring for the F-Type, with a tapered rod coil, specially designed to allow lowering of the vehicle without compromising the ride quality. A true progressive smart spring.
They are currently on sale until the 31st. Email me at Stuart@VelocityAP.com for info

The rears on the AWD R are same as the rears on the 2WD R and all the other models. The fronts are very similar to the 2WD R but shorter and higher spring rate.
We *JUST* heard from the customer who has our AWD prototype springs going on his car yesterday, so I would hope to have confirmation of fitment in the next 24 hours.
A previous customer just cut down the 2WD front spring but I wouldn't recommend that.
Hi guys. I'm doing my research on lowering springs. So far, I've seen good before and after comparison photos of the Velocity spring.
Are there good photos of the H&R springs? I've only seen a few photos of the H&R springs, but the drop amount isn't very clear. Btw, I did do a search on this site and also on Google.
The H&R 28822-2 seems to be indicated for the F Type R, but can it be used for the base convertible? Similarly, the H&R 28822-1 seems indicated for the S, so does that mean that it can't be used for the base convertible?

The H&R 28822-1 is to be used on all base and S cars (including the V8S) except for the AWD cars. 28822-2 is used on all R cars except AWD. I don't know if H&R has addressed the AWDs yet.

So there are basically 3 Spring types:
1. Rear for all cars, and Front for V6, V6S, V8S (regardless of coupe/convertible)
2. Front for 2WD 'R' Models
3. Front for AWD 'R' Models
our part numbers are
1. VEL-SPRING004 (H&R Equivalent should be 28822-1)
2. VEL-SPRING003 (H&R Equivalent should be 28822-2)
3. VEL-SPRING003AWD (I'm guessing when it comes out will be 28822-3?)

I don't know how good they are for your intended purpose but here are before and after pics:
Note the substantial fender gap above the tires.
Note how much longer and sleeker the car now looks (and the de minimis fender gap)
I've been tempted to do this but as far as I can tell none of these lowering springs reduce body roll so I decided not to.
The car lacks a front suspension lift feature so your front apron would not last long lowered.
As I had mentioned in another thread, I scrape far less often than before the lowering (driven daily for the past two months). That might be because of the extra care I might be taking, or may be due to the rear being lowered more than the front (1.5" vs 1.25") pivoting the front of the car up just a bit. My car doesn't point down as much as stock F-Type anymore. BTW, those 3 front apron whiskers are very inexpensive and easy to replace.
If you are scraping a lot now, obviously don't lower the car. Otherwise I don't see it as an issue. Regarding roll, it seems more squared of in the turns, but I have no hard evidence. As they are progressive springs they should yield less easily under hard turning than the OEM springs.

When all said and done, have you noticed, (other than the now beautiful stance) any difference in ride or handling at all when pushing it and when driving 'normally'?
I have been considering wheel spacers and lowering possibly in the future, and want to know what to expect in the way of differences from the OE setup.

in normal suspension mode, the dampening is no longer adequate for the springs.however, in dynamic suspension mode the set up is just right for spirited driving and comfort. The car now remains far more settled when you get the tail loose. I highly recommend the change if you plan on driving the car hard.
Unhingd, haha yes, your car was the only one I saw with H&R springs. Do you have any direct profile photos of your car (no angle)? Thanks again.
I can certainly get a straight on "after" shot" for you. You can probably get an adequate straight on "before" shot from your own car for comparison purposes.

IronMike. Thanks! I saw the first picture in the same thread where I saw Unhingd's car. But somehow, I didn't find the 2nd thread while I was searching. So thanks for not only the photo, but the link to the actual thread. Great help.
Some pics from our friends at DAlto shop in Miami. The drop came out just about right, car was measured not quite flat so shows 1" front and 3/4" rear but on flat ground it's pretty much bang on 7/8" front and rear. This customer went straight out for a track day and was very happy with the performance.
