Anyone recently ordered and received a MY2022 F-Type?
I’m surprised that I have not seen posts recently of anyone getting a new F-Type delivered. Am I missing something?
My wife ordered one a few months ago and it’s currently on a container ship (BESS) and due to arrive in US on 12/28. OK, given that there are thousands of container ships floating idly at US ports, I’m not holding any hopes that it will get to Dallas any time soon. Still, it seems like we are the only new F-Type buyer around here.

My order was placed on Nov. 11, 2021 although it had been in the dealer's queue since mid July, supposedly waiting for the factory to begin accepting orders again.
The build date on the Order Details sheet is 2/4/22 and the delivery date 3/25/22.
I will still be holding my breath until I can confirm the vehicle has actually been built.

Be warned, that could take a while. In 2016 I bought a car (an XF) that had just arrived at the dock in Baltimore. It took 6 weeks to get delivered to the dealer in NJ, and that's before the pandemic.

I don’t have the build details on hand, but this is what I recall:
- P450 Coupe
- R-Dynamic AWD
- Carpathian gray
- heated/cooled seats
- Light Oyster interior/ extended leather
- panoramic sun roof
- Suede cloth headlining
- blue brake calipers-could be red actually
- Meridian surround

I stopped by to test the waters, told him about the car I wanted to get rid of and how I wanted to order exactly what I wanted in a new F-Type. He said that he had one build allocation that had not been finalized and we configured it right there on a car that already had a build date. This is my third Jaguar from him and my second F-Type (other was an F-Pace), and I guess that counted for something.

Did they say yours would be missing any options due to the chip shortage? You may want to ask. I was told mine won't have powered tailgate and proximity key.
