Default Anyone retro fitted heated seats?

Just picked up my 2015 F Type R AWD today - I do love it !!

Lots of options but no heated seats!! ?? Including heated front screen and left and right climate

Has anyone retro fitted heated seats .. I know in some cars the heating pads are already in the seats ... It's just a controls and wiring?

Cheers Pete

Heated seats are standard on the R models.

Press the temp control knob on either side and it will switch to heated seat level.

Just wondering if the OPs salesperson went over the car with him. Even used, mine spent 15-20 minutes showing me how the controls worked.

He's in the UK. The R is available with the features he listed (and without the heated seats).

Just buy one of those cheap heating pads with a cigarette lighter plug. Can get one of those on Amazon or Brookstone. No need to spend $$$ for new seats just to get heat.

It's funny how a car in 2016, and this expensive, doesn't have heated seats as standard. (or front and rear parking cameras).

I suppose it *may* be possible to retro fit the heating elements (if they are not already present, and if they are available as parts). If they had to be retrofittted, it'd probably require the services of a good upholstery person - getting the leather off and back on properly is a bit of a craftsman job - they tend to use 'hog rings' to secure the leather to the seat base etc so its not just a case of pulling the leather off (as far as I know).

People have done this with Miata's using kits like:
