Default Sport cats .....

FYI. SuperSprint has 200 cell and 100 cell sport cats available. You are located in California, so this is the best information I can tell you. SuperSprint uses the HIGHEST AMOUNT of precious metals inside the catalytic honeycomb. Their proprietary sport cats do not trigger the cars check engine light. Their sport cats are compatible with the cars stock ECU software. The SuperSprint catalytic converter/sport cats behavior is equal to the car's stock catalytic converter. No need to do a software upgrade to shut off the CEL light. For the reason I've mentioned I think the Super Sprint' product would meet your needs. Today is their last day for their private summer sale. Send them a private message with whatever question you might have.
California is a PITA.
Good luck ...

I have their 200 CELL cats on my car and can mirror what Turko said. No check engine light ever and tune is untouched.

During my last CA smog test, they did a visual inspection of the cats using some kind of a mirror contraption. I assume aftermarket cats wouldn't pass.

I just had my 2014 V8S SMOG checked 2 days ago and they do look at the cats very carefully during the visual inspection. So unless you know someone that you can buy off, I don't think you're going to pass without OEM cats.
