Be a classy friend and ignore his comment. Just compliment him on his beautiful car and enjoy your own. He's got to have seen rave reviews of your car, or will if he cares enough to read one.

AM nice looking, classy, overpriced, old technology, engineering. Will be German under AMG, may get better.

I mean the Vantage isn't even a more expensive car. The Vantage GT (same car, same engine but newer than your friends) now starts at $99k. They're practically giving them away and still they don't sell very well.
