Default Athermic window & tint

Can yo tint the heated front windshields? I've always ran 50% on the front windshields and am wondering if I can tint the windshield on my 2019.

Athermic is not the same as heated. Athermic blocks most IR so the interior doesn’t get as hot.

I put a clear uv filter on the windshield of our ';14 maser Ghibli and it was great. When I went to put it on our '17 my guy said the windshield had changed and could no longer take the filter. I assume this is the same situation with the newer Jags.

OK, I guess I had the terminology wrong. Sounds like it should not be tinted.

I have had 70 percent tint on my heated windshield for almost two years now with no issues whatsoever.

Good to know. Maybe I’ll give it a try. I guess I can always strip it if it’s a problem. Is the glass roof athermic? Wondering if I could put the pike pass up there as I’ve done on our other cars.

I’m in Virginia using EZ-Pass transponder. That’s where I put mine - up beneath the glass roof. It works fine there, not athermic. I could not get it to work on the athermic front windshield, not even in the “pockets” on either side of rear view mirror. I actually have to hold it up to the roof glass each time (which is a total pain) since there is not enough clearance to mount it and allow the shade to close. I do not want to go with an external, front grill or plate solution. I’m pretty sure there is a detailed thread on here discussing this exact subject.
