Audio quality top up vs top down in Vert

Ftype Vert owners: Does the audio processing seem to change with the top up vs the top down?
It seems like the audio has 2 different audio processing settings, one for top up, one for top down. Not sure if the head unit has built in programs for both situations, but I find the top down processing actually decreases the audio quality in general.
To my ear, when the top is down, the bass becomes almost overly punchy and too easily rattles door panels and the treble gets overly tinny. The audio just sounds lower quality at all frequencies.
When the top is up, the audio in my Ftype sounds as good as my wife's Range Rover with the high end sound system with equally silent interior rattles. This is great when cruising with top up but want that same audio pleasure when top is down.
I have the upgraded sound system and I would love to know if there was some way, either through the dealer or in the system, to defeat the auto equalizer change when the top goes down.
I experimented with this earlier. Listening to a particularly punchy song while parked in a parking lot, the top was was down and the bass/rattles in the door panels was annoying me. I held the top up switch just long enough to hear the audio switch over to the other settings and stopped there, so the top was still completely down. When it switched over the equalizer, all aspects of the audio sounded 100% better and the rattles were gone. It was like a completely different sound system.
Anyone else experience this and have a work around to stop the processing switch? Maybe a wire to cut or ground or a trip to the dealer with a patch? Is it just a default equalizer offset that it initiates when the top goes down? It sounds to me like entirely different audio signals are being filtered and sent to each speaker.
