Aussie V6 Owners - What Petrol Do You Use?
I'm obviously asking a small subset of members, but I'm interested to know whether you think it's worth paying extra for Shell V Power or BP Ultimate Unleaded, and why. I recently purchased an XE S (same V6), but figure there are even fewer of them in Australia than F-Types.

I use mainly BP Ultimate (98 octane) coz there are lots and lots of BP's handy to me and on the routes I take.
I would use Shell V Power instead or as well but there are stuff all Shell stations on the routes I commonly take.
I sometimes use Liberty or United or Mobil 98 octane when it is going cheaper than the rest and is convenient to me.
I hardly ever use 95.
There are two main reasons I use 98 over 95 - 98 has more/better cleaning/detergent additives than 95 (very important on the fussy AJ126 engine) and the price differential is usually bugger all, 6 or 8c per litre, waaaay less than the price differential between 91 and 95.
Then there are the two minor reasons - 98 gives slightly better fuel economy than 95 and my pullied and tuned F-Type makes a smidge more power with it.
So yes, I reckon it is worth paying a little extra for 98 octane.

Cheers, I use 98 in the Jags and 95 in the daughter's car. we do bugger all mileage anyway (well under 10,000km per annum per car) so there is a bee's dick in cost difference - probably , also my tuners have told me to use 98 only now that we have the VAP tune on my car.
Just doing the numbers, 10,000km per annum at around 10 litres/100km = 1000 litres at cost difference around 8 cents a litre - $80 per annum.

Thanks. Exactly what I wanted to hear. Only picked up the S earlier in the month and haven't had much of a chance to buy petrol (Lockdown 2 in Melb), but both times the price of Shell V-Power has been close to $1.70 which had me cringing.

I work with a military combined joint task force, and we had an Aussie Captain for about a year. Ya'll remind me of some of our conversations. Miss that guy. We talked for about an hour about whether kangaroos used their pouches for snacks when they didn't have a joey.

The premier's name is Dan Andrews and the Victorian situation is being called "the Dandemic".
The first meme references suggestions that the whole current outbreak is because security guards at quarantine hotels caught the virus having sex with bored quarantine-ees (nice work if you can get it) and then spread it through the community.
One might wonder whether union influence was involved in the selection of security for those hotels...
